Afropean: A Journal - Johny Pitts queer WOMAN SITTING AT THE MACHINEAfropean: A Journal This work takes twenty years of photographs, notebooks, and ephemera documenting the Black experience in Europe between 2004 2024, through various crises from the wake of 9 11 and the Iran War through the global financial crisis, Brexit, the rise of rightwing populism in the 2010s and Russia's full scale invasion of Ukraine in the 2020s. A working Black photographer himself, Johny Pitts self funded a series of Interrail trips
