The thick blue green to green foliage turn showy shades of yellow, orange, and red in fall. The bottlebrush like spikes with fragrant snowy white flowers bloom through spring before the foliage emerges. Blooms best in rich, moist well drained acidic soils. Dwarf Fothergilla is a native pollinator that provides nectar for several species of butterflies and bees.
